Olive Label How-To and Clip Art

Express your goodwill not with an olive branch but with the Mediterranean fruit itself.

Pack glass jars (Anchor Hockings clamp-top version, fantes.com) with pitted olives. Print tag and cut to size. Last, tie one to each lid with striped twine.

Tools and supplies:

  • Cover-weight paper or card stock in white or cream
  • Metal ruler or straightedge
  • Craft knife
  • Small hole punch
  • Baker's twine

Basic How-To:

Download our PDF, type in your name and wedding date, and print.

Use a metal ruler and a craft knife to cut between the crop marks (do not cut all the way to the edges of the paper; this will leave the crop marks intact for subsequent cuts). Cut off the upper corners of the tag, and punch a hole in the center near the top edge.

Tie the tag to the jar with baker's twine.

This is a great idea. My only question/concern is whether or not the olives would require refridgeration up until they are to be distributed. Is there any kind of special preservation for olives or would they be ok after being jarred for a few days? I cant imagine jarring olives the morning of my wedding.
