Jelly Label How-To

Martha Stewart Weddings, Spring 2010

You'll need:
Ink-jet printer
8 1/2-by-11-inch self-adhesive label stock (Eunice used Strathmore writing label in Bright White -- there are 4 labels per sheet; allow extra sheets for misprints and other mistakes)

Craft knife

Metal ruler or straightedge

Cutting mat

8-ounce jelly jars (available at FreshPreserving.com)

1/4-inch corner-rounding punch (available at arts & crafts stores) -- optional

1. Print labels. Download the PDF with Eunice's design, and print out the labels on your ink-jet printer.

2. Trim labels. With the craft knife and ruler, cut out labels, aligning the ruler with the crop marks. Do not cut all the way to the edge of the label sheet; this will leave the crop marks intact for subsequent cuts.

3. Round corners (optional). Round all four corners on each label with a corner-rounding punch.

4. Apply labels. (Note: Fill the jars with jelly and let cool before applying label; jars should be perfectly dry.) Peel backing from each label and apply to a jelly jar, centering carefully.
