Shiro-An Vanilla Cream

The shiro-an gives this frosting a richer taste and a little bit of texture. It offsets the yuzu flavor in the Yuzu-Vanilla Cupcakes nicely.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/4 cups Shiro-An
  • 1/4 vanilla bean, scraped

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Whisk cream in mixer bowl until stiff peaks form. Fold in shiro-an and vanilla-bean seeds; whisk until fully blended. Use immediately or refrigerate, covered, up to overnight.
